At STARZ Performing Arts, we offer a high quality dance/gymnastic/theatre/cheer education, with an emphasis on technique at affordable pricing. We have an incredible staff with nurturing instructors that are amazing role models for your children. Our students exercise and develop body awareness. They gain confidence, strength, poise, balance and flexibility. Socially, they develop friendships that will last a lifetime. Although we are now STARZ Performing Arts, we will always Dance For Fun!!

Session Format-

At STARZ Performing Arts Studio,  we have 3 sessions:

    FALL  September-December, followed by a holiday recital where medals are

    distributed

    WINTER  January-May, followed by a May recital where trophies are distributed

    SUMMER July-August 

        Recreational dancers can be in any one or all sessions

        Company dancers dance Sept-May.

        Competitive dancers dance year round.

Costumes-

    Costumes are affordable and stylish. We understand that these costumes will be worn one time so why would you pay a fortune for it? Our costumes are $50 and professionally ordered. The costume process is very difficult; we often say costumes are made to fit somebody somewhere since the sizes never seem to fit right! We do our best at fitting your child and finding someone to alter them. Please be aware that with our session format it makes it difficult to order costumes. Most studios have a 6 month span to order costumes, we only have 2-3 months!

Teacher Education-

    Did you know that there is no certification process for dance teachers? Anyone can open a studio and teach your children. Dance moms, college minors, and people who have danced with minimal experience can become dance teachers and studio owners. Do you know who your child’s teachers are? Our staff here at STARZ have all danced throughout their childhood, most of them having competed, and all of them have graduated from college with Dance degrees and participation on their schools dance teams.

Commitment Level-

    At STARZ we believe every child should have a life outside of dance! They are encouraged to participate in other sports and activities. Dancers have time to maintain good grades and a family life, even when participating in our Competition Team.

STARZ Performing Arts is very involved in the community and partners with Lake Orion, Clarkston Community Education, Grand Blanc Community Education, Birmingham YMCA, and Pee Wee Patch.
